Wow, you guys. An Orla Affair has come to an end, and I gotta say — this was such a fun month! When I first made the Orla Dress in December, I knew it was a pattern that would be a staple for me. Throughout July, I saw so many posts from people saying something similar. I’m so excited that lots of people discovered a great basic dress, and had a fun time making it something totally them! And I especially loved seeing people say that An Orla Affair was an impetus for them to make a sewing Instagram, since the Orla was one of the things that launched me into ~blogger status.~ I’m THRILLED to be able to announce the winners of An Orla Affair today!

Cali Fabrics, Maker Mountain Fabrics, Beyond Measure, Guthrie & Ghani, La Mercerie, Hart’s Fabric, Threadbare Fabrics, Hawthorne Threads, LA Finch Fabrics, and Fat Quarter Shop, thank you!!!! Allie, Anya, Rachel, Sarah and I are so grateful to each of them for donating prizes. They rock our socks, and have some pretty great stuff to sell you (at quite reasonable rates). If you’re unfamiliar with them, please go give them a look and some lovin’!
Now, without further ado…
The Winners of An Orla Affair!
Finally, Katherine @kburton7 has won $25 to Fat Quarter Shop! Great minds think alike if I do say so myself — I used that stripey fabric for my Forsythe Dress, AND it looks like she’s headed to Chicago for grad school! Do me proud!
Additionally, each sewist has won a copy of Sarah’s new pattern, the Forsythe Dress. If you loved the Orla, you’ll love this dress too!
Winners, I’ll be DMing you on Instagram later today to get your prize wheels in motion. Congratulations! And thank you so much to everyone who participated. It was really difficult for us to choose our favorites because so many awesome Orla dresses popped up this month. We hope that An Orla Affair has not only given you some fantastic Orla hack options, but also the confidence to try something new in your sewing. We can’t wait to see more Orlas from you all!
